Bookings & Refunds
Tickets are transferable if you are unable to attend. Please let us know the name of the person attending in your place.
Cancellations made more than seven (48) hours before the event will receive a full refund.
Unfortunately, no refunds can be offered within 48 hours of the event, or for non-attendance.
Food & Beverages
Light refreshments, tea and coffee will be provided.
As these gatherings are held in our home rather than a café or licensed venue, refreshments are intentionally simple. We cannot guarantee a wide selection or cater for all dietary requirements, allergies or preferences. Refunds will not be provided if the available food or beverages do not meet individual requirements.
Accessibility
Our events are held in a private residence. If you have accessibility requirements, please contact us before booking so we can discuss whether the venue is suitable and how we may be able to assist.
Respect for Our Home
The Room of Lost Ideas is hosted in our family home. By attending, you agree to treat our home, fellow guests and our neighbours with courtesy and respect.
Please arrive and leave thoughtfully, keeping noise to a minimum, particularly when departing at the end of the evening.
Event Changes
Occasionally, circumstances beyond our control may require us to postpone or cancel an event, including speaker illness or unforeseen circumstances.
Should this occur, you will be offered the choice of a full refund or transferring your booking to a future event.
Photography
We may take a small number of photographs during the evening for use on our website, social media or future promotional material.
If you would prefer not to appear in photographs, simply let us know when you arrive and we'll happily respect your wishes.
Participation

Minimum Numbers
Occasionally, we may need to postpone an event if minimum attendance numbers are not reached. If this happens, you will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to another date.
